Reading Parking Authority Offering Free Parking during Snow Storm

Reading Parking Authority announced today that its garages will be open to provide parking relief to City residents during the storm predicted for this Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

City residents are encouraged to move their vehicles to a garage so snow plows can clean the streets as effectively as possible.

Gates at all Reading Parking Authority garages will be open beginning at 8am Wednesday, December 16 through 8am on Monday, December 21.

Anyone utilizing an RPA parking garage during these hours is asked to pull a ticket to enter.

Exit gates will be up until 8am Monday and parkers can exit without payment.

After 8am on Monday, gates will be down. Payment using the ticket will be required to exit.

The National Weather Service is forecasting precipitation to begin at approximately 10am on Wednesday and continue through 10am Thursday morning. Forecasters are anticipating significant accumulation up to 12 inches or greater.
