Video: Community gathers at West Reading Fire Department to remember victims of R.M. Palmer explosion

Hundreds of people from all across Berks County gathered at the West Reading Fire Department Friday evening for a candlelight vigil to remember the victims of the March 24th R.M. Palmer building explosion.

West Reading Mayor Samantha Kaag began the event by with heartfelt words to help the community grieve and began the healing process.

Local religious leaders lead the group in prayer and song while a large video monitor displayed a slideshow of the victims.

The Borough made several resources available to attendees following the event, including grief counselors, chaplains, and therapy dogs.
