FaithCare to host Global Impact Conference in October, local clinic open this Saturday

FaithCare, a Berks County-based nonprofit that provides free healthcare to the uninsured and underserved locally and abroad, will host its annual Global Impact Conference & Banquet on October 24–25. In addition, the organization’s monthly Reading clinic will open this Saturday, September 20, at 12:30 p.m. in the lower level of Life Church, 621 Centre Avenue, Reading.

Founded in 1994, FaithCare has grown into a global network offering health, hope, and healing to thousands each year. In 2025 alone, volunteers conducted six international missions, serving 11,565 patients overseas — a 57% increase compared to 2023, when 7,328 patients were treated.

Locally, the Reading headquarters continues to expand services, currently caring for about 200 people annually. Leadership additions and new initiatives are expected to more than double the number of patients served. The clinic is also seeking volunteer doctors, nurses, and interpreters to meet rising demand.

FaithCare has expanded its reach with a new chapter in Harrisburg, opened in 2024, joining Reading, Fort Myers, Fla., and Nigeria. The first full medical mission to a new chapter in Sierra Leone is planned for February 2026.

The 2025 Global Impact Conference will feature both medical and non-medical tracks designed to inspire and equip attendees. FaithCare Global Impact Conference: Noon Friday, October 24, through 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences, 1025 Old Wyomissing Road, Reading. Annual Fundraiser Banquet: 5 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Spring Valley Church, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple.

Tickets are available for the full conference or the banquet only. More information is available at faithcare.net.

FaithCare’s work has had measurable results both locally and internationally. In Reading, the organization provided critical care to children in need, including funding for medical equipment such as a leg brace that helped a young girl walk confidently. Overseas, FaithCare teams have performed lifesaving surgeries in communities where families could not otherwise afford treatment. Patients with conditions ranging from fibroid tumors to appendicitis have received care free of charge, transforming and saving lives in countries such as Nigeria.
