West Reading’s vibrant fashion community was on full display Saturday night as designers, models and boutiques showcased their best in the annual West Reading Fashion Show.
Saturday night’s show took place at the newly designed Eight20 Events, located behind Sly Fox Brewing in Wyomissing.
More than just a runway show, VIP’s were treated to a deluxe experience with special lounge area and gift bags featuring items from local small businesses.
Jennifer Inners of Saylor House worked to create the VIP experience. “It was easy and fun working with event staff to create a 400 square foot modern black and white space to complement the looks shown on the runway”.
This year’s runway featured bridal to sportswear, lingerie to date night chic, coming from prominent area boutiques: Bella Jules, Betsey’s Boutique, Be Mine Boutique, DeLune Boutique, Dressed in Love Bridal Suite, Fleet Feet West Reading, Holistic Skateshop, LiliBea’s, and Snazzy Beauty Boutique.
“Being a part of these events, I am constantly reminded of why I chose to open my business and be a bigger part of this community. The way each business and individual chooses to uplift each other and constantly strive to better the community which we live in is nothing short of inspiring,” said Alison Pakradooni, owner of Be Mine Boutique. “I am honored to see the continual changes and improvements both on and off Penn Avenue and around Berks County as a whole.”
Pakradooni also assisted in coordinating with the Albright College Fashion Department and Albright’s Club Vogue members worked as volunteers for the event.
This event is a collaboration between the West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation (WRCRF) and West Reading Merchants. Proceeds benefit WRCRF a 501(c)3 registered organization.
