Kimberton Whole Foods recently expanded their Douglassville location by adding 1,800 square feet of retail space by renovating the adjacent storefront in the Ben Franklin Court Shopping Center.
The planning and construction took several months; however, the space was quickly transformed during a brief closure of the store mid-January.
The newly expanded health food store includes a wide selection of fresh and organic produce; grass-fed meats and dairy; specialty cheeses; grocery staples; baked goods; grab-and-go meals; vegan and vegetarian options; unique gifts; and more.
“We opened our Douglassville location in March 2007. It was our third Kimberton Whole Foods store. We now have six locations in southeastern Pennsylvania. After the unbelievable year we’ve all experienced, it’s exciting to see growth and expansion throughout many areas of our company, including the Douglassville store.” said Terry Brett, Kimberton Whole Foods co-founder and CEO.
“We’ve added 1,800 square feet, which will create a more spacious shopping experience for customers with a wide range of new products. We’ve also made improvements to the layout of our backroom to give the team more space to work efficiently.”
Kim Floyd, Store Manager added, “Our customers were so excited to hear that we were expanding and couldn’t believe how quickly we were able to do it. It’s amazing how much more open the space feels. Customers have been very happy with the larger selection of produce and other products that they used to special order or travel to one of our other locations to purchase.”
Kimberton Whole Foods is a family-owned and operated grocery store that has been providing the community with locally sourced, natural, and organic products for over thirty years with locations in Collegeville, Douglassville, Downingtown, Kimberton, Malvern, and Ottsville.
The Douglassville location is conveniently located off Route 422, set in the shadow of Monocacy Hill and among the farms of Berks County. They have been serving the community since 2007.
