The American Legion Reber-Moore Post 635 of Shillington has announced the 95th annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony will take place on May 29, 2023.
Memorial Day is a great American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May. It celebrates the countless sacrifices of men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
This tradition began in the years following the civil war and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Since 1927, the American Legion Reber-Moore Post has been honoring our fallen soldiers by holding this annual springtime event known as the Shillington Memorial Day Parade.
This historic event will take place on May 29, 2023, starting promptly at 10:30 am. The parade is scheduled to start at Shillington Park and it will end at the Shillington Town Hall. Individuals are encouraged to participate in the parade procession.
