City of Reading announces winners of the 2023 Holiday Parade competition

The City of Reading has announced the winners of the 2023 Holiday Parade in various categories, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity within the community.

In the Best Band category, first place was awarded to Twin Valley High School Marching Band, second place to Exeter High School Marching Band and third place to Conrad Weiser Marching Band.

In the Best Performance category, first place was awarded to Roxy’s Dance Expressions, second place to Reading High School Dance Team and third place to the Alvernia University Dance Team.

In the Best Float category, first place was awarded to Superheroes for Autism, second place to Savage Auto Group R-Phil’s Mascot Band and third place to Carpenter Technology.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to all participating organizations and a special thank you to our esteemed judges: Daniel Egusquiza from Barrio Alegría, Justin Heimbecker from Berks Arts, and Larry Fecho from Genesius Theatre” said parade organizers.

“The City of Reading commends these winners for their outstanding contributions to making this year’s Holiday Parade a resounding success. Your dedication and creativity truly brought the holiday spirit to life. Congratulations to all!”
