The Reading Downtown Improvement District was formed in 1995 to fund enhanced services (e.g. cleaning, safety, events, etc.) above and beyond what the City of Reading provides.
DID is managed by the Reading Downtown Improvement District Authority, which collects a special assessment on downtown properties, located within the district boundary shown below.
DID goes through a renewal process every five years and as part of its current renewal, the DID is undertaking a strategic planning process in partnership with the Berks Alliance.
The pair have created an online survey looking for feedback from those who work, live, and visit downtown Reading, to help gather data on improving and expanding services and future programming.
As a thank you for participation, DID will randomly select five respondents to receive a $25 gift card, which can be spent in Downtown Reading.
