In response to the postponed National Night Out activities, Muhlenberg Township officials have announced the creation of a new Safety Parade, scheduled for October 6th.
Earlier this year, National Night Out celebrations were postponed until October 6th over COVID-19 safety concerns. Still interested in brining the community together, Township officials went back to the drawing board to create a new event, designed to bride the gap between public safety and community development.
With Fire Prevention Week falling on the same week at October 6th, the Township will now hold a Safety Parade on Tuesday, October 6th, from 6-8pm.
Celebrating National Night Out and Fire Prevention week at the same time, the Township will host three separate “parades” going around different sections of Muhlenberg Township on the same night.
The Parade will consist of several different emergency vehicles, along with McGruff the Crime Dog and/ or Sparky.
