LightHouse Women & Children’s Center at Hope Rescue Mission has announced the success of its recent fundraiser, the “Welcome Home Party,” held at the Reading Country Club on May 9th. The event brought together members of the community for an evening of entertainment and philanthropy, all in support of LightHouse’s mission to restore women and children from the trauma of homelessness.
The second year of hosting the “Welcome Home Party” exceeded expectations, with attendees enjoying a lively atmosphere filled with camaraderie and generosity. Highlights of the evening included a live auction, where guests bid on a variety of exclusive items and experiences, as well as a silent auction.
“I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community,” says Kate Alley, Executive Director of LightHouse Women and Children’s Center. “The success of the ‘Welcome Home Party’ is a testament to the compassion and generosity of our supporters, whose contributions will directly benefit the women and children we serve.” Robert Turchi, CEO of Hope Rescue Mission commented, “Last night’s event was great fun for a great cause. A win-win for everyone there.”
Funds raised from the “Welcome Home Party” will play a crucial role in supporting LightHouse’s vital programs and services, providing food, shelter, support, and resources to women and children experiencing homelessness. Through the generosity of attendees and sponsors, LightHouse can continue its mission of restoring dignity and hope to the women they serve.
