On the evening of Sunday, November 19th, Reading patrol officers swiftly responded to reports of shots fired in the 800 block of Ritter Street in Northwest Reading.
According to police, the incident took place around 8:00pm. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 50-year-old male victim inside a vehicle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower half of his body.
The wounded individual was promptly transported to Reading Hospital by ambulance, where medical professionals are currently attending to his injuries. As of now, the hospital has not released any information regarding the victim’s current condition.
Authorities say there is no apparent ongoing threat to public safety. The incident appears to be isolated, and law enforcement is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
